Overview
Rastro is a tequila brand shaped by the land, named after the Spanish word for “trail” or “trace.” The brand reflects the journey from agave to spirit, honouring the craft, time, and environment behind traditional tequila production. With smokey notes and a bold personality, Rastro is designed for those who value quality, process, and authenticity.
The goal of this project was to create a cohesive brand identity that balances traditional Mexican heritage with a contemporary sense of confidence—connecting the product to the earth, the landscape, and the ritual of tequila itself
Outcome
The final identity for Rastro is bold, grounded, and rooted in tradition. A strong block-style logotype was chosen to evoke a sense of history and craftsmanship, referencing vintage and rustic typography while remaining impactful and modern. Subtle texture was added to reinforce the brand’s connection to the land and the hands-on nature of tequila production.
An earthy yet vibrant color palette featuring terracotta, deep olive green, almond, and black—was chosen to reflect Mexico’s desert landscapes and rich cultural warmth. These tones bring depth and authenticity to the brand while maintaining a bold visual presence.
The identity was applied across a range of deliverables, including bottle labels and packaging, billboard and poster advertising, curated Instagram content, and branded merchandise such as matchboxes and tote bags. Together, these elements create a cohesive system that tells the story of Rastro’s journey from agave to spirit, positioning it as a tequila brand defined by craft, quality, and a deep connection to the land.
